Information regarding LM’s side project ‘Decembered’ had been added to the site with links to its restored homepage and all of the records brought back online. Feel free to check it out.

Our label has just tipped us that the band’s second album is underway, slated for November (probably late November) release. Artwork is being worked upon now. However, no exact release date is set so far, so any delays are well possible yet.

Headbanger.ru once again has a great review with great pictures from the last show of The Forced Oscillations, Lacklustre Mirror with Moon Far Away as headliners.

Our last performance suddenly spawned some quite strange debates on what is it that Lacklustre Mirror actually plays? What genre, what style? Some said it’s an apparent ‘early’ doom metal, others say ‘darkwave’ or ‘rock’. Somebody even has noticed, that Lacklustre Mirror makes some weird leaps in its sounding from a record to another (as if we have many!) thus it’s barely understandable, what they play exactly…

Well, actually Lacklustre Mirror’s members have never actually known what genre do we belong to. And I can’t say we have ever cared about it too much.

What cannot be denied, however, is that LM’s music had indeed been influenced heavily by metal music - mostly doom-death, symphonic and ‘gothic’ metal music - ever since its conception back in late 1990s. However Lacklustre Mirror is not really about metal. It’s the atmosphere and that certain energy surge - however gloomy they may appear prima facie -  those are the primary goal. And the rest are the means.

And the means may vary, don’t they?..

UPD: In order to avoid further misunderstanding regarding the episode with throwing a ‘bible’. Well, it wasn’t Holy Bible, it was a cheap imitation, illustrating the falseness of the ‘popular religiousness’ which overwhelmed the modern world. Actually, that was just a business diary with a cheap ‘gothic’ bijouterie attached. Since the band’s frontman failed to work this trick through persuasively, it will never be repeated during the future shows.

EN On September 14th we’re performing along with Arkhangelsk gothic/neofolk gods Moon Far Away as a supporting band, together with ‘The Forced Oscillations’ ensemble.

The event is to take place in the very center of Moscow City. The address follows:
Bolshoy Ovchinnikovski Pereulok, 24-4. Starting time - 6:00pm, entrance cost 400 Rub (~$17).

RU Концертное агенство RITUAL DANCE Promotion представляет единственный московский концерт легендарной gothic folk группы MOON FAR AWAY (Архангельск), который пройдет в клубе “ДОМ” 14-го сентября 2008 года. Данный концерт будет являться последним в длительном туре группы по России - “МАМА РУСЬ”. Концерт пройдет при поддержке московских групп LACKLUSTRE MIRROR и ВЫНУЖДЕННЫЕ КОЛЕБАНИЯ.
